Hino Motors Resuming Shipments After Engine Testing Fraud

For more Hino Motors News The company has announced its plans to resume shipments of some Profia large trucks in mid February, after having been suspended due to engine testing fraud. Per the report from The Japan News, the necessary certification from the transport ministry was reaquired on Tuesday and the company is now set to recover domestic shipments back up to 60 percent to 75 percent of fiscal 2021 levels. Hino also plans to reapply for a certificate for Selega large tourism bus model, although they do not yet have plans for certifying larger engine displacements or Ranger midsize trucks which exceed emissions limits at a higher amount than expected.
