Japan's Major Companies Unite: An Ambitious Joint Venture to Establish Hydrogen and Ammonia Supply
For Top Hydrogen News - In a bold move towards achieving carbon neutrality, Japan's Mitsui & Co, IHI Corporation, The Kansai Electric Power Co., and Mitsui Chemicals have signed an agreement to jointly study the establishment of a hydrogen and ammonia supply chain in Osaka. This project is expected to develop bases for receiving, storing, and supplying ammonia in the Osaka coastal industrial zone while extending its use in the Kansai and Setouchi regions. Given ammonia and hydrogen do not emit carbon dioxide during combustion, this initiative marks a significant step in mitigating climate change. This announcement comes on the heels of Eneos and Osaka Gas' declaration of constructing an e-methane facility, further exemplifying Japan's commitment to green energy solutions.
