A proposed CO2 capture installation at AVR's Rotterdam waste-to-energy facility, similar to the one operational in Duiven. AVR is currently investigating the feasibility of this project.

A CO2 capture system at AVR's waste-to-energy facility in Duiven that extracts carbon dioxide from incineration flue gases and supplies it to local horticultural greenhouses. The system captures approximately 60,000 tons of CO2 annually from the 400,000 tons produced by the facility.
