Hydrogen refuelling and corridor infrastructure refers to the production, storage, distribution, and dispensing facilities needed to supply hydrogen vehicles along key freight and transport routes, often organized as network “corridors” linking industrial hubs, ports, and logistics centers. For heavy trucks, such infrastructure typically includes centralized hydrogen production or import terminals, high-capacity compression and storage, tanker or pipeline distribution, and truck-scale refuelling stations capable of safely delivering large quantities of hydrogen at high pressure.

The main product showcased is a long-haul hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck designed for 49-ton gross vehicle weight operations, equipped with a 400 kW fuel cell stack and high-pressure hydrogen storage to deliver very long range and fast refueling for commercial freight applications.[6] The truck is part of Dongfeng’s T1 commercial vehicle new energy platform and targets trunk logistics routes, including mountainous and mixed-terrain corridors where consistent power and range are critical.[6][5][7]

A proposal linked to South Korea’s bid for Canada’s next-generation submarine contract under which Hyundai Motor’s hydrogen truck technology would be used to manufacture hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks and potentially related infrastructure in Canada as part of a wider industrial co-operation package.
