HyMarnham Power

Purpose-built and repurposed pipeline networks designed to transport low-carbon hydrogen (both blue hydrogen produced from natural gas with carbon capture and green hydrogen produced via electrolysis) from production facilities to industrial consumers, power generators, and other end users.

The project supports both electrolytic (green) hydrogen production using renewable electricity to split water, and blue hydrogen production from natural gas reformation with carbon capture and storage. The region has 11.6 GW of planned hydrogen production capacity, with multiple production sites identified across the East Coast area.

Production of hydrogen using renewable electricity (typically from wind or solar) to split water via electrolysis, resulting in zero direct greenhouse gas emissions.
