The HyVelocity Hub is coordinating the development of eight green hydrogen production facilities along the Gulf Coast and South Texas.[1][2]
This consortium, centered in Houston, received significant federal funding for its plans to develop a regional hydrogen economy, including pipeline networks and CCS. Its projects are heavily reliant on the threatened tax credits.
A collaborative initiative led by GTI Energy, The Center for Houston's Future, and the University of Texas at Austin, with over 90 supporters including major energy companies. The hub seeks DOE funding to scale clean hydrogen supply on the Gulf Coast.
