A green hydrogen transportation initiative deploying 20 fuel cell buses and a hydrogen refueling station in the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. The project is supported by the European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking as part of the JIVE2 initiative.

An initial pilot project operating two Van Hool fuel cell buses powered by hydrogen as a by-product from Nouryon's chlorine factory in Delfzijl.

A fuel cell bus with a range of 350-400 kilometers, powered by hydrogen converted into electricity on board to supply electric motors. Twenty units are being delivered for the Groningen and Drenthe project.

Methanol produced using green hydrogen and captured CO2, serving as a raw material for biofuels and chemical feedstocks, with lower emissions than fossil-based methanol.
