The government of Taiwan is actively working with Dong Energy to review potential sites for new offshore wind energy systems and is committed to increasing renewable energy capacity.

The government is examining 36 sites for offshore wind farm approval and is concerned about the environmental impact on wildlife, particularly the Chinese white dolphin.
