A hydrogen fuel engine manufacturing facility to be established in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand by TGESPL (joint venture of Tata Motors and Tata Cummins). The plant will produce hydrogen internal combustion engines for retrofitting commercial vehicles, with planned expansion to battery electric components and fuel delivery systems.

Hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines designed for retrofitting existing diesel-powered commercial vehicles into low-carbon alternatives. The engines will feature modular hydrogen tank sizes made from carbon fiber and maintain payload capacity equivalent to diesel vehicles.
