A membrane technology that has been improved to enhance the efficiency and scalability of green hydrogen production via electrolysis.

DURAION is Evonik’s proprietary anion-conducting membrane developed for AEM water electrolysis, intended to enable industrial-scale, high-performance and cost-effective production of green hydrogen.[0] It is produced in large-format rolls on a roughly 20‑meter‑long coating line in Marl, with widths up to about one meter, making it suitable for large electrolyser stacks and high‑throughput manufacturing.[0]
