Green hydrogen production refers to generating hydrogen by splitting water using electricity derived from renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, or hydro, resulting in minimal direct greenhouse gas emissions.[10] In the Barrow project, approximately 100 GWh of hydrogen per year will be produced using renewable electricity contracted under long-term power agreements, qualifying the hydrogen as green and contributing to the decarbonization of Kimberly-Clark’s industrial operations.[3][4]

A 4 MW green hydrogen plant at NLC India’s Neyveli complex in Tamil Nadu that will use Ohmium’s modular PEM electrolyzers powered by renewable energy to produce up to roughly 700 metric tonnes per year of hydrogen for power generation, industrial, and potential mobility applications.[1][2][4]
