A process that thermally cracks methane into hydrogen and synthetic graphite without emitting CO2. It operates at over 1200°C and is presented as a third route to hydrogen production, distinct from steam methane reforming and electrolysis.

Hydrogen produced via methane pyrolysis, resulting in hydrogen gas and solid carbon black, with claimed emissions-free production when powered by renewable energy.

A high-value solid carbon byproduct of methane pyrolysis with applications in steelmaking (as a low-carbon alternative to metallurgical coal) and battery production (as anode material in lithium-ion batteries).
