Crystals with a left- or right-handed atomic arrangement that can dramatically accelerate the oxygen evolution reaction in water splitting by controlling electron spin.

Substances that increase the rate of a chemical reaction without themselves undergoing any permanent chemical change. In fuel cells, they are essential for producing hydrogen gas.
