Water electrolysis for green hydrogen

1 mention

Water electrolysis for green hydrogen is a technology that uses electricity from renewable sources like wind and solar power to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, producing hydrogen without direct CO₂ emissions when the power supply is fully renewable.[6] In Germany’s hydrogen ramp-up, large-scale electrolysis plants with capacities from tens to several hundred megawatts are being deployed at industrial and energy sites to supply green hydrogen to steelmakers, chemical producers and heavy transport.[1][4]
