An aircraft propulsion system that uses hydrogen fuel cells to generate electricity for electric motors.

These fuel cell systems operate between 160–200°C using phosphoric acid-doped membranes, offering smaller size and higher power density suitable for commercial aircraft.

Retrofit of a retired Bombardier Q400 regional turboprop aircraft with ZeroAvia's hydrogen-electric propulsion system (ZA2000).
