A waste management technology that burns garbage to generate energy, proposed as a solution for handling approximately 700,000 tons of trash annually in the Greater Vancouver region.

A retrofit technology developed by Covanta that improves the combustion process in waste-to-energy facilities to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions. The system brings operating levels to nearly three times lower than provincial regulatory limits.
