SEPTA will deploy 10 hydrogen fuel cell buses powered by compressed H2 gas as part of a zero-emission fleet transition strategy. The project represents a $17 million investment.

Deployment of eight Volvo Euro 6 hybrid buses with Volgren bodies across the Latrobe Valley region in Victoria, Australia. The buses will operate on timetabled public transport routes and supplement existing diesel buses.

A new fuel cell bus launched by Toyota and delivered to the Tokyo Metropolitan government. It uses a fuel cell system originally developed for the Toyota Mirai and produces oxygen and water vapor as byproducts. It can also function as a backup power source.

A full-service hybrid bus featuring a Volgren body, low-floor layout, and Euro 6 emission standards. The bus combines diesel combustion engine with battery-powered electric propulsion, achieving 40% fuel savings compared to conventional diesel buses. It operates on battery power up to approximately 25 km/h before switching to the diesel engine.

Battery-powered buses that SEPTA tested starting in 2016. The vehicles experienced cracked frames and battery pack ignition issues, leading to their removal from service.
