Renewable ammonia, often called green ammonia, is ammonia produced from green hydrogen and nitrogen from the air, typically using the Haber–Bosch process powered by low-carbon electricity, and is promoted both as a low-carbon fertilizer feedstock and as an energy carrier for storing and transporting green hydrogen over long distances.[7][1] ACWA Power’s projects in Saudi Arabia and other regions focus on converting green hydrogen into ammonia for easier export to markets such as Europe and Asia, including potential future supply to South Korean refineries and power plants.[7][1]
