Dover and RVCE Launch India’s First Hydrogen Reliability Lab to Boost Green Hydrogen Research

July 3, 2025 0 By Jake Banks

Dover India has teamed up with RV College of Engineering (RVCE) to launch a cutting-edge testing lab right in the heart of Bengaluru. Located inside RVCE’s Centre for Hydrogen and Green Technology, the lab officially opened its doors on July 2, 2025, and it’s already turning heads. What makes it special? It’s one of the few labs worldwide devoted to testing hydrogen components under tough, real-world conditions—an essential step toward making green hydrogen safer and more scalable.

Teaming Up for a Greener Tomorrow

This partnership blends the best of both worlds: Dover’s industrial know-how with RVCE’s research and academic chops. Together, they’re working to ramp up India’s game in hydrogen production and sustainable energy innovation. The lab is built to push the boundaries of what materials can do, especially when it comes to storing, moving, and using hydrogen safely and efficiently.

A Lab That’s More Than Just Research

Beyond the research and tech, the new facility is also hands-on training ground for the next generation of engineers. Students won’t just learn theories—they’ll be deep in the mix, gaining real experience with the kind of fuel cell technology and advanced systems that are shaping the future of clean energy.

Paving the Way for Decarbonization

This is more than a lab—it’s a big step forward in building the hydrogen ecosystem and scaling up hydrogen infrastructure in India. It supports the country’s broader mission to cut industrial emissions and shift toward sustainable energy sources. As India moves closer to securing its place on the global green energy stage, partnerships like this are lighting the way.
